Can teens use Colon Cleansers?

Posted by admin on Wednesday 2 September 2009

im 17, i want to lose weight, but not a lot. Im too lazy to exercise and have no comittment for diets. I read review on Colon Cleanse Pro, do you think I can use it? What are its side effects? I just wan to lose 15 pounds.

Firstly, if you want to lose weight, you can’t cheat. Only steadfast determination of following a healthy, well-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, grains, and meats with regular exercise will result in weight loss.

As for the colon cleansers, there is no scientific research that indicates its benefits are true. You are likely, however, to suffer from vomiting, nausea, cramps, dizziness, a sign of dehydration (which can cause mineral imbalances), strings of mucus (a sign the body views the cleanser as a toxin), potential interactions with medications, bowel perforation and infection as possible side effects.

Plus, if you irrigate your colon, you’ll probably only experience a few pounds in weight loss due to either a drop in water weight or an accumulation of feces if you’re constipated. Other than that, there’s no guarantee that you’ll keep the weight off for an extended period of time and you can’t flush out fat, only waste products from food and drink. Best bet, eat a healthy, well-balanced diet and exercise. Talk to your doctor about this and he or she will say the same thing. Hope this helps and good luck!

Colon cleanses are perfectly fine to use. I’ve done two using just a mix of psyllium husks and bentonite clay and I felt great afterward.

If you’re doing them for weight loss, however, you’re doing them for the completely wrong reason. They’re not meant to help you lose weight, they’re meant to help your body expel toxins and get back into balance. While weight loss is a secondary effect, it’s usually not permanent.

If you’re truly unhappy with how you look and want to be healthy, nothing works except for healthy eating and exercise. There’s no pill, machine, berry, cleanse, diet or anything else "magical" that will make you lose weight.

Do yourself a favor. Ask yourself why you want to lose weight. Losing weight is not a goal, it’s a general idea. Why do you want to lose weight? Maybe you want to be healthy. But why do you want to be healthy? Maybe high blood pressure runs in the family. But why is that important? Maybe someone died from heat problems and you want to avoid that.

See that last sentence? That’s a reason to lose weight. That’s a goal you’ll work for. It doesn’t have to be serious. Let’s try again. You want to lose weight. Why? Maybe you want to look better. Why do you want to look better? There’s a new guy I met. Why is that important? Maybe you want to impress him enough and be confident enough to ask him out.

You have to find a goal that will get you off your butt and doing what you need to be doing. Nothing will ever work for you if you don’t get your head right first.References : Here’s a complete guide for beginners to help you on your way
