Do A Post-Holiday Colon Cleanse

Ah, the holidays. Feasting begins during Thanksgiving and keeps going all throughout Christmas and ends only after the New Year. It’s not wonder it’s one of the year’s biggest, most stressful, and high-food seasons. You just can’t escape food during this time. You have friends and relatives visiting you at home and come bearing food baskets, desserts, and dishes, you have coworkers bringing cookies, cakes, and brownies at work, then you also have all the food that you make you at home, just waiting for your hungry mouth and belly.

Now think of all those Thanksgiving get-togethers, Christmas parties, and New Year blowouts that you have already attended, and imagine how much food you had to consume during each one of them. It doesn’t make a pretty picture, and it didn’t really help to refuse any of these meals because they’re absolutely everywhere. So after all that eating you have done, you must be feeling pretty heavy and sluggish already. That feeling most likely makes you promise never to eat so much ever again and to get rid of all the weight you gained as quickly as you can.

Keep in mind, however, that what you’ve gained from all that eating is more than weight and flab, but toxins as well. These toxins are responsible for the heavy feeling that has stayed with you long after the parties are over. What you can do to get rid of those wastes and toxins is a good colon cleanse. A colon cleanse will get your digestive system working in proper order once again and help regulate your body. In order to achieve this, you have to look into colon cleanse methods you can employ to improve your health.

A good way for you to cleanse your colon is by taking fiber supplements. Fiber will help whisk away the plaque that has accumulated in your colon. You can also look into colon cleanse mixes that you should drink regularly; these are available in pharmacies and they’re easy to blend, too. You can also make your own colon cleanse mix using herbs like aloe vera and senna as well as cayenne pepper; these help stimulate your colon and also ease inflammation in your lower intestine.

Believe it or not, you can fight the toxins with food. All you need to do is to find food that is rich in fiber, such as fruits and vegetables. You can even eat yogurt as part of your colon cleanse, because the good bacteria in yogurt can help digestive regularity. Remember to drink as much water as possible, too; it never fails to wash out your system.

What do I eat if I want to do a colon cleansing diet? A colon cleanse diet should consist of raw and steamed fresh vegetable, nuts, and an occasional russet potato.

After reading your entry I was instantly reminded of “When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal.” — Napoleon Hill

I thought this quote was very fitting “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” – Thomas Jefferson
