What Are The Benefits of A Colon Detox?

Its bit ironical that we consider ourselves so advanced as human beings yet in reality we haven’t advanced at all in respect of certain topics that we still consider not suitable for discussion in polite society and that is how do we maintain a healthy bowel. I am referring specifically here to our disregard for our own bodies and in particular the fact that they are slowly getting more and more toxic. Our eating patterns have changed to accomodate our busy lifestyles resulting in eating more and more from fast food outlets and overuse of high sugar concentrate drinks. Today most of us are on a deficient diet system that is remarkably low on balanced healthy foods, but extremely high on fat and surplus carbohydrates. Add stress of a busy professional or home life into the mix and the end result is; a poor bowel habit that usually manifests in chronic constipation or other toxic signs.

Our body is an amazing machine if only we gave it a bit of help. But we don’t listen or choose to ignore the signs that the body is in distress. We have got so used to living with constipation, feeling sluggish and tired, not sleeping properly, acne, bad breath etc. that we just continue going down the same old path. We do get a bit worried when the weight starts piling on and sometime even make a half hearted effort to get rid of it, but then we go back to our old bad habits again without ever really understanding we needed a colon cleanse or at least some form of detox to give us a proper chance at fixing the problems.

Its ironic that if we were at a waste disposal plant and saw a sign saying toxic waste we would know it was dangerous, poisonous and should be avoided at all costs. Yet we don’t associate that same danger with our bodies becoming toxic. We have organs dedicated to keeping our bodies functioning but they are like the motor of a car they still need a service or oil change occasionally to stay at optimum operating power. They don’t blow fuses but they do give up under the continual workload.

There are particular organs in your body that deal with waste management. These organs play a major role in the detoxing process for a fit and healthy body. Your liver converts ammonia from broken-down proteins into urea, which can then be excreted through the kidneys. If not for this, toxic levels of ammonia would build up in the body. It produces bile, which helps with the digestion of fats. (The gallbladder only stores bile; it doesn’t make it.) Additionally the liver helps clean the blood and is responsible for detoxifying chemicals, hormones, and molecules in the body.

Lympth glands also play an important role in detoxing your body. The main function of lymph nodes is to act as a drainage system by absorbing and expelling proteins, dead cells, bacteria and other waste products from the body. Basically they clean and filter the lymph before it is returned to the blood. They are also a major part of the immune system, as they produce antibodies and lymphocytes. If there is an infection present in the body, the lymph nodes produce more lymphocytes to combat the infection.

Kidneys help in water management in the body, they maintain the good chemistry of the blood alkaline by eliminating the dissolved acid waste. You can help your kidneys function better by drinking plenty of water. The best options are fresh alkaline juices and purified water. You may take ounce of alkaline everyday and expect to see positive results in your body weight.

Another vital organ are the lungs. The air we breathe is made up of several gases, of these oxygen is the most important for keeping us alive because body cells need it for energy and growth. Without oxygen, the body’s cells would die. This is where your lungs play an important role as they filter out carbon dioxide the waste gas that is produced when carbon is combined with oxygen as part of the body’s energy-making processes. The lungs and respiratory system allow oxygen in the air to be taken into the body, while also enabling the body to get rid of carbon dioxide.

Once our body is detoxed are not kept overworked dealing with all these cleansing process, it can its focus on doing the more important things like fighting back cancer and chronic degenerative diseases, restoring our health, and repairing the damage in our body.

There are lots of detoxification programs around both commercial and natural ones that you can do without chemical assistance, and fairly inexpensively. Don’t put this off any longer it won’t go away without some help from you.
