What is a good, safe colon cleanse, detox product?

Posted by admin on Monday 19 October 2009

There are many products that claim to cleanse your colon and remove pounds of accumulated you know what. These products are promoted through spam emails as weight loss products and mostly contain herbs and act as mild laxatives, but are there any true products that could help to cleanse your body and available without a prescription?

There’s a lot of pseudoscience insisting that toxic levels of waste build up in the colon, ‘poisoning’ you. It’s total hogwash, without medical merit.

What will a colonic or a colon-cleansing product do for you? It’ll empty the colon, for very short-term weight loss of waste that would have worked its way out over the next day or two. If you suffer from hemorrhoids, it may soften the stool to allow it to pass more comfortably. If you happen to be constipated, either one will solve the problem, temporarily.

The con is that it’s absolutely unnecessary. You’d be better off eating whole grains, plenty of fruit and vegetables, and drinking enough to be properly hydrated all the time. In addition, in many states there’s no regulation or training of those who administer colonics, so the potential for unsantiary equipment or injury is present.

It really isn’t a good idea of doing over the counter colon cleans product. Most of your immune system resides in your colon. Washing away beneficial bacteria that the body needs to aid in digestion and absorption can cause problems constipation, diarrhea, or hemorrhoids and that’s just few complications. You can lose weight and regulate your BM by having a high fiber diet and drinking at least 8 8oz glasses of water a day. Even doctors suggest not using a laxative more than once a weekReferences :
