I heard that the average person has anywhere from 5 to 15 pounds of fecal matter build up inside their colon! (YUCK) and that a colon cleansing can get rid of that. Is that true or just junk science?

Also, if a colon cleansing is worth the money, do you have to go to a doctor to get one done or can you buy something at a drug store or health food store and do it yourself?

Thanks for any help and / or advice.

Colon cleansing is well worth it. I was skeptical when I first tried it, but trust me, you will feel so much better. Doctors tend to frown on this kind of thing because it has more to do with natural medicine. There are natural clinics you can go to to have it done (colonic), or you can find pills at a natural health store. Here is some info.

There is lots of that gunk, honest, but a water based colon cleanse, won’t move much of it out. It’s impacted, non water-soluble, and has the consistency of rubber. There’s a product called arise&shine which is purely herbal, which softens it and strips it out. It takes 3-4 weeks and you have a very strict diet, but you wouldn’t believe the ropes of black gunk that come out of you. Pounds of the stuff, and it ain’t what you had for lunch yesterday. It’s old, imprinted with the shape of the intestinal walls whence it came.
I’ve done it twice, it’s worth doing, and makes you feel great!References :
